Two-and-a-half years after breaking ground in Historic Filipinotown, construction is complete for the Belle on Bev apartments, Cityview announced earlier this month.

Built at 1800 W. Beverly Boulevard, consists of a six-story building that will feature 243 studio, one-, and two-bedroom above 3,500 square feet of ground-level retail space and a 292-car garage. According to a project website, rents range from $2,299 to $3,900 per month.

“We are proud to have partnered with the [Historic Filipinotown] community to transform underutilized retail space into nearly 250 units of mixed-use housing,” said Cityview chief executive officer Sean Burton in a news release. “Ideally located in one of the most dynamic and historic neighborhoods in Los Angeles, Belle on Bev provides highly amenitized, critically needed housing.”

The project was approved with density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than would normally be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, 21 of studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments will be set aside for rent as very low-income affordable housing.

AC Martin is serving as the executive architect for Belle on Bev, incorporates rooftop decks, courtyards with a swimming pool and a garden, and a club room.

Cityview's other recent projects include similar mixed-use and multifamily residential buildings in in Historic South-Central, Gardena, and Carthay. Additionally, the company is in predevelopment for a 441-unit apartment complex in Westchester.
