California Landmark Group is continuing with construction for D1, a $30-million residential complex located near Marina del Rey

Located at 4210 Del Rey Avenue, the project will eventually consist of a five-story building featuring 68 live-work apartments, with one, two- and three-bedroom floor that range between 740 and 1,640 square feet.  Plans also call for amenities such as a gym, outdloor lounge spaces and a rooftop pool deck.

PK Architecture is designing the project, which will be clad in plaster and sheet metal.

D1 is scheduled for completion in Fall 2018.

Senior Affordable Housing Coming to Santa Monica

The Community Corporation of Santa Monica is pursuing the development of a new senior affordable housing complex just south of the 10 Freeway.

The proposed three-story edifice, slated for a 15,000-square-foot site at 1820 14th Street, would replace a series of smaller commercial buildings with 39 apartments reserved for low-income seniors.  Plans also call for a ground-floor community room, a laundry facility, a library, and one level of underground p
