Micropolitan, the development arm of engineering firm PSOMAS, has completed vertical construction at its new apartment complex in the Fairfax District.

The project, known as the Micropolitan at Fairfax Village, is now rising at 639 N. Fairfax Avenue.  The five-story podium-type building will offer 63 rental apartments - with six units set aside for very-low income households - in addition to on-site amenities, including of fitness center.

Santa Monica-based Killefer Flammang Architects is designing the wood-frame structure, which will feature an elevated courtyard along Fairfax Avenue.

Completion is on pace to occur later this year.
