One year clearing a two-acre development site south of Sunset Boulevard, steel and rebar and now rising for the $110-million development known as the Rise Hollywood.

Located at 1311 N. Cahuenga Boulevard, the project will consist of a seven-story structure that will contain 369 residential units and 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  In addition to traditional apartments, plans call for 12 live/work units and 30 micro units.  The project will set aside 20 units for moderate-income households.

Nadel Architects designed the mid-rise structure, which will incorporate a public plaza, a ground-floor paseo, and multiple outdoor decks for residents.

Completion is on pace to occur in 2019.

Rescore and Cal-Coast have planned a similar mixed-use complex in Koreatown that would feature 364 residential units.
