Tomorrow, Onni Group will give the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee a chance to review its latest high-rise project in South Park

The proposed 60-story building, slated for the current site of a surface parking lot at Olympic Boulevard and Hill Streets, will feature 700 apartments above 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.  Plans also call for 1,075 parking spaces in an above- and below-grade garage.

Chris Dikeakos Architects designed the 760-foot-tall building, which will consist of a slim glass-and-steel tower overlooking a podium.  Residential units will wrap the building's above-grade parking levels, while open space amenities will cap the five-story structure.

The project's initial study points to an approximately 30-month construction timeline, with completion set to occur in 2022.

Onni is also in the midst of restoring an adjacent 1920s building as office space, and is also building apartment towers at 825 S. Hill Street and at 1212 Flower Street.

A handful of additional skyline-altering towers are also proposed one block southwest at the intersection of 11th and Olive Streets.
