New renderings have emerged for the 28-story tower under construction at 9th and Figueroa Streets in Downtown Los Angeles.

The mixed-use project, which is being developed by Holland Partner Group, will consist of a feature 341 apartments, approximately 11,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a rooftop amenity deck, and an underground parking garage.a

Architecture firms Gensler and the Preston Partnership are designing the high-rise building, which is the second half of the adjoining Apex development, which was partially completed by developer Sonny Astani.  Since taking control of the property, Holland Partner Group has gradually refined its design for the new construction to more closely resemble its older neighbor.  Astani had originally envisioned twin towers as the centerpiece of the development.

Also planned is a standalone retail structure at the corner of 9th and Figueroa, adorned with open roof decks and prominent digital signage.

Completion of the tower is expected in late 2018.
