Two multifamily residential developments have reached completion in the Westlake district, just north of MacArthur Park.

The first project, located at the southwest corner of 3rd Street and Westlake Avenue, consists of a utilitarian four-story building featuring 33 apartments and 420 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

City records name the project's architect as Byung K. Song.

The second development, located two blocks away at 434 S. Lake Street, is a larger five-story edifice featuring 80 apartments above a subterranean parking structure.

The podium-type building was developed by a limited liability company known as Lake Street Preservation, and designed by Valentine Janev Architects, Inc.
