Another of the small industrial building in the Arts District is expected to give way for a live/work development.

Yesterday, an application was filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning to construct a mixed-use building at northwestcorner of Imperial and Jesse Streets, featuring 140 live/work units and approximately 14,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.  Plans also call for 162 parking spaces on four underground levels.

A case filing links to the project to 641-653 Imperial Street Holdings, a limited liability company controlled by Adam Lindemann.  Lidemann is an art collector and investors based out of New York.

The approximately .63-acre property sits midway between two of the largest developments planned in the Arts District: 6AM and 670 Mesquit.
