Los Angeles-based Takacs Architecture has unveiled renderings for a proposed live/work development in Koreatown.

The project, filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles, calls for razing a small office building at 616 S. Westmoreland Avenue and constructing a podium-type mixed-use development in its place.  The seven-story building would feature 77 live/work units above 3,105 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a parking garage.

Ownership records link the property to Crenshaw Country Club, a limited liability company based out of Cerritos.

Located mid-block between Wilshire Boulevard and 6th Street, the development site neighbors a recently-completed apartment tower from UDR, Inc.

Last month, Century West Partners topped out on a similar seven-story development, also located one block from 616 Westmoreland.
