Construction is beginning for a low-rise office building with a ground-floor supermarket in West Hollywood, according to real estate agent Blake Alexander.

Developer Michael Talla, owner of the currently vacant project site at 8550 Santa Monica Boulevard, intends to construct a three-story building, 60,000-square-foot building which will feature commercial offices above a grocery store.  WEHOville has reported that Sprouts Market is the likely tenant.

Renderings of the project, which was being designed by Aleks Istanbullu Architects as of 2015, portray a contemporary structure featuring landscaped terraces and space for outdoor seating.

An earlier proposal for the property had called for a multifamily residential units and pedestrian-oriented commercial space.
