The owners of the Grove-adjacent Town & Country shopping center have filed plans with the City of Los Angeles to potentially redevelop a portion of the site with a mixed-use complex.

The property, located at the southeast corner of 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue, is currently improved with a large surface parking lot and standalone retail building.  A case filing with the Department of City Planning calls for razing a portion of the existing building to allow for the construction of a new project featuring up to 381 residential units and approximately 81,000 square feet of commercial uses.

An existing 66,000 square feet of retail space would also be renovated through the proposed development.

Additional details about the project are currently unclear.
