Los Angeles-based developer Local Constructs has broken ground on a new residential-retail complex in Eagle Rock, reports the Eastsider L.A.

The Perch Apartments, now rising at 4247 Eagle Rock Boulevard, will consist of a four-story building featuring 59 apartments above ground-floor retail space and a parking garage.  The completed project will set aside 10 percent of its units as affordable housing, in exchange for density bonus incentives granted by the City of Los Angeles.

Renderings of the low-rise complex - designed by Ken Stockton Architects and Holst Architecture - portray a contemporary four-story structure with numerous terrace levels that create outdoor decks.
