A multifamily residential complex may rise in the University Park area, according to plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles.

The proposed development, located at 806 W. Adams Boulevard, is described as an approximately 180,000-square-foot building that would feature 99 rental apartments - including five to be set aside for very-low-income households.  The applicant has requested entitlements from the City including on-menu density bonus incentives and a conditional use permit.

The project address corresponds to the site of the John Tracy Clinic, a nonprofit education center for infants and young children with hearing loss named for John Tracy, the son of the famed actor Spencer Tracy.   USC's Caruso Family Center, which also works with children who suffer from hearing loss, is based on the same campus.
