LaTerra Development and the City of Burbank have kicked off the environmental review period for the 777 North Front Street Project, a mixed-use complex that would rise near the city's Metrolink station.

The proposed development, which would occupy a 10-acre site spanning between Burbank and Magnolia Boulevards, calls for the construction of multiple buildings featuring a mix of apartments, hotel rooms, and retail space.

At the north side of the property, a series of seven- and eight-story buildings would create 572 apartments and an array of open space amenities

The south end of the project site is slated for 15-story, 204-foot-tall tower featuring 317 hotel rooms and ground-floor retail, as well as a 27,0000-square-foot park that would rise on a City-owned portion of the site.

Urban Architecture Lab is designing the project, according to its initial study.

La Terra anticipates five-year timeline for construction of 777 Front Street, starting in August 2019 and concluding in June 2024.

A similar development is currently in the planning stages just east at the property which once housed the Burbank Ikea.
