A 15,000-square-foot property east of the Silver Lake Reservoir will give way for a multifamily residential development, per a document from the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.

Last year, UB 2468 Glendale, LLC submitted an application to the City of Los Angeles to demolish a series of small commercial buildings at 2468 N. Glendale Boulevard and construct a five-story multifamily apartment in their place.  The proposed development would feature 50 apartments - including five for very low income households - above parking for 45 vehicles.

The podium-type structure, designed by the Albert Group Architects, is portrayed with a contemporary look.  Plans call for a mixture of studio and one-bedroom apartments within the project, in addition to common space amenities.

The Los Angeles Planning Department has recommended that the Commission approve the project.
