In West Los Angeles, Jonathan Braun of Jamison Services sends word that construction is complete for Maxwell, a new project developed in a joint venture with Downtown-based real estate firm Zackary Bros.

The six-story building, which replaced an automobile repair shop at 1855 S. Westwood Boulevard, features a total of 60 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above a two-level, 65-car subterranean parking garage.

According to a leasing website, monthly rents for the apartments will range from as low as $2,995 for a 625-square-foot, one-bedroom dwelling, to as high as $6,675 for a three-bedroom, 1,229-square-foot apartment.

Architect Sam Ghanouni is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which is clad in painted plaster. The project, in addition to housing, includes amenities such as a recreation room and a rooftop deck.

Jamison Services, best known for a seemingly endless pipeline of new developments, has ventured outside of its home turf of Koreatown on a handful of occasions before. Notably, the company is now building a larger 100-unit apartment complex just over one mile east on Santa Monica Boulevard in the Sawtelle district.
