In Beverly Hills, the American arm of Swedish construction and real estate giant Skanska has completed work on its first office development in Los Angeles County.

The new four-story building, located at at 9000 Wilshire Boulevard, occupies a corner site roughly midway between new subway stops now under construction at Rodeo Drive and La Cienega Boulevard. The completed development features 50,0000 square feet of offices and ground-floor commercial uses, seated atop a subterranean parking garage.

Neil M. Denari Architects and HLW designed the low-rise structure, which has a number of features common to new office developments across the region, including open floor plates, operable windows, and a rooftop deck which provides for indoor-outdoor work spaces. A new installation by California-based artist Heather Day is located along the exterior facing Almont Drive to the west.

The project, estimated to cost $65 million at the time it broke ground in October 2020, was originally slated to debut in the third quarter of 2022.

While the building is currently without a tenant, Skanska has already decided to double down on Beverly Hills, with plans for a similar development a few blocks to the east at 8633 Wilshire Boulevard. Skanska has also initiated plans for a 13-story office tower in the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles.
