AvalonBay Communities has offered up a first look at a six-acre mixed-use development now taking shape in Hollywood.

AVA Hollywood, now rising at 6677 Santa Monica Boulevard, will consist of multiple seven-story buildings featuring 695 apartments and 25,000 square feet of street-level commercial space.  Plans also call for a landscaped paseo that will cut north-to-south through the property between Santa Monica and Lexington Avenue.

Koning Eizenberg Architecture is designing the AVA project, which will incorporate multiple courtyards and amenity decks.

The design team also includes executive architect Togawa Smith Martin, Groundlevel Landscape Architecture, and House of Honey Interiors.

Completion of AVA Hollywood is expected in early 2019.

The project site sits directly across the street from the LA LGBT Center's new Anita May Rosenstein Campus, which is also under construction.

AvalonBay, which is based out of Arlington, Virginia, is planning a similar mixed-use project in the Arts District.
