The website of GMPA Architects has unveiled renderings for prominent Downtown L.A. landlord Izek Shomof's proposed mixed-use development in Chinatown.

The project, which was filed with the City of Los Angelse last September, would consist of as seven-story building featuring 122 residential units above 4,200 square feet of retail and three levels of underground parking.  Plans also call for residential amenities and six units of very low income housing.

Slated for an L-shaped site at the corner of Alpine and North Spring Streets, the contemporary podium-type building would be similar in scale and scope to other recent Chinatown projects such as Blossom Plaza.

A larger mixed-use complex by Atlas Capital Group is also in the works for a large vacant lot adjacent to the neighborhood's Gold Line Station.
