A pair of multifamily residential developments are underway in Hollywood, across the street from the $150 million office complex which will soon house the Los Angeles offices of Netflix.

The first of the two projects - which is being developed by Tanner & White - consists of a low-rise edifice at 5800 Harold Way featuring 56 residential units.  The four-story building, designed by Los Angeles-based PSL Architects, is located on a .8-acre site near the Hollywood freeway.

A short walk west on Sunset Boulevard, construction continues on the Metropolitan West Apartments, a low-rise develpment at 5837 Sunset Boulevard.  The six-story structure, designed by Santa Monica-based VTBS Architects, will feature 79 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments above two-and-a-half levels of parking.  Plans also call for amenities including a fitness center, a rooftop terrace and a swimming pool.

The project is considered an expansion on the adjacent Metropolitan Hollywood residential and creative office complex, which is owned by Colorado-based real estate firm Cornerstone Holdings.
