Meta Housing Corp. is approaching the finish line at a two-building affordable housing complex in the Harbor Gateway.

The project, which rises from a long-vacant lot at the crossing of El Segundo Boulevard and the Harbor Freeway, features a pair of four-story buildings that will offer 160 units for low-income families and the formerly homeless.

Y&M Architects designed the projects, which will include a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom dwellings.  Rents will be priced between $290 and $1,079 per month.

Total costs are estimated at $52 million.
