Over two years after breaking round at 1306 S. Hope Street, South Park's Onyx apartment complex is finally beginning to reveal itself to the world.

The seven-story building, which comes from developer Jade Enterprises, will feature 162 rental units above 13,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space and underground parking for 163 vehicles.  Plans also call for on-site amenities such as a gym, a swimming pool and a business center.

TCA Architects designed the podium-type structure, which was initially intended as the first phase of a two-building complex.  The second half of the project, slated for a parking lot across Hope Street, has would feature 248 dwelling units above nearly 30,000 square feet of commercial space.

Jade Enterprises has a large slate of mixed-use buildings planned or underway throughout Downtown, including the Topaz apartments in the Historic Core.
