Wiseman Residential has commenced with construction for a mixed-use development in Hollywood, according to real estate agent Blake Alexander.

The project, located at the southeast corner of Sunset Boulevard and Detroit Street, calls for the construction of a five-story building 60 apartments, including seven units of affordable housing.  The building's ground-plane would be activated with 3,400 square feet of ground-floor retail space, with parking for 125 vehicles located in a basement level.

Glendale-based architecture firm Uriu & Associates is designing the contemporary mid-rise development, which will include a central courtyard and a rooftop deck.

Apartments With Retail Planned West of the Grove

Low-rise building would feature 50 apartments over ground-floor commercial uses.

An auto body repair shop and two small commercial buildings located near the Grove could make way for a residential-retail complex.

Earlier today, plans were filed with the City of Los Angeles to construct a mixed-use project at 8000-8014 W. 3rd Street in the Beverly Grove neighborhood.  Plans call for a 50-unit building - including five affordable apartments - with approximately 7,250 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.
