Construction is underway for a new set of small lot homes in Palms, replacing a set of small apartments.

The approximately .32-acre property, located at 9218-9224 National Boulevard, will feature 10 homes at completion, according to a filing with the City of Los Angeles.

Renderings portray a collection of contemporary three-story structures.

The development is located midway between the Expo Line's Culver City and Palms Stations, and within the Expo Corridor Transit Neighborhood Plan area.  Nearby segments of National Boulevard could be in line for rezoning as a mixed-use corridor, under a proposal put forth by Councilmember Paul Koretz.

20 Townhomes Planned in Inglewood

The project would rise from an L-shaped site near La Brea Avenue.

In Inglewood, a local developer has filed plans to construct townhomes just west of La Brea Avenue. The proposed development, slated for an L-shaped property at 113-133 W. Plymouth Street, would replace 11 existing single-family residences with 20 three-story townhomes above a basement parking garage.
