Construction has kicked off for yet another multifamily residential development in the Irvine Business Complex.

The Orange County Register reports that Newport Beach-based developer Intracorp has broken ground on a 178-unit apartment complex at 2055 Main Street. Plans call for a five-story building which would include a roof deck, a swimming pool, lounge areas, a fitness center, and amphitheater, and a business center, among other amenities.

Completion is expected in Summer 2023.

Intracorp is no stranger to the Irvine Business Complex, having previously developed three townhome communities nearby.

The company's portfolio also includes townhomes in South Pasadena and a 106-unit condo complex in Austin.
