The project, built on a previously vacant site by San Diego-based Wakeland Housing & Development, consists of a five-story building featuring 43 studio - 42 of which are reserved for formerly homeless residents - above a small at-grade parking garage for four vehicles.

The apartments, according to a brochure distributed by Los Angeles County, are approximately 405 feet in size and include full kitchens with appliances. All units are reserved for rent by persons aged 55 and older.

Abode Communities designed the Chesterfield, which has an exterior of thin brick and stucco. Resident amenities include a community room and a rooftop deck.
