At the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Reno Street in Historic Filipinotown, the wrapping is starting to come off at the site of a new multifamily residential complex from Unique Construction & Development.

The project, which replaced a single-story commercial building at 3001 W. Beverly Boulevard, stands six stories in height, and will feature 46 studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings at completion. Plans also call for parking for 36 vehicles in a podium garage.

Tighe Architecture is designing 3001 Beverly, which was portrayed in a renderings as a contemporary low-rise building clad in concrete and corrugated metal panels. The real-life product retains the same exterior finishes, but opts for a lighter color scheme than originally envisioned.

The building is centered on a courtyard amenity space at the podium level.

The project is one of a handful now taking shape in the surrounding Historic Filipinotown and Westlake neighborhoods, highlighted by the 221-unit apartment complex now taking shape on the former site of Temple Community Hospital at 235 N. Hoover Street.
