A prolific developer of multifamily housing in Los Angeles is planning new apartments across the street from Sunset Bronson Studios in Hollywood.

The property, which spans between Gordon Street and Tamarind Avenue just north of Fountain Avenue, calls for the construction of a multi-story structure featuring 60 apartments - including five to be priced for extremely low-income households.

Requested entitlements include density bonus incentives allowing from relief from certain local zoning requirements - specifically increases in allowable height and floor area.

The project is being developed by Wiseman Residential, which has numerous apartment buildings in development across Los Angeles - including a 49-unit complex at the intersection of Fountain and Western Avenues and a mixed-use structure near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

City records indicate that the project is being designed by Labyrinth Design Studio.  Renderings from the firm's website show a landscaped courtyard at the center of the contemporary low-rise structure.

Wiseman's project would rise just north of a small lot subdivision now under construction at Fountain and Tamarind, as well as a similar multifamily building rising across the street.

The project would also sit just east of a slew of new office buildings planned at Sunset Bronson Studios by owner Hudson Pacific Properties.
