One day after filing plans for a 128-unit apartment complex in Florence Avenue, local developer Haroni Investments has submitted an application to construct another project in South L.A.

The proposed development, slated for a 20,000-square-foot site at 6550-6570 S. Normandie Avenue, would consist of a five-story building featuring 64 apartments - including six extremely-low-income units.  Haroni has filed for entitlements with the Transit Oriented Communities incentives.

The project site is currently improved with a collection of one-story buildings that most recently housed a private school.

Haroni, which is based out of Los Angeles, is currently in the midst of construction on two projects near the Crenshaw/LAX Line's Hyde Park Station.
