Just south of Wilshire Boulevard, the wood frame of a new apartment complex from Jamison Services, Inc. is now taking shape in Koreatown.

The project, known as 700 Manhattan, is located near the southwest corner of 7th Street and Western Avenue.  The finished development will consist of a seven-story building, offering 160 apartments and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial uses.

A project page from the Jamison Services website advertises amenities such as a club room, meeting space, a pool deck, a dog run, and outdoor screening areas.

GMP Architects is designing the contemporary podium-type building.

Completion of 700 Manhattan is anticipated in Summer 2019, according to the website of the project's contractor, Wilshire Construction.

A half-mile west, Jamison is also in the midst of construction on a similar development at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Wilton Place. That project, known as 3980 Wilshire, will feature 228 apartments over street-level retail uses.
