A multifamily residential development could be coming to a prominent location in Westlake, according to plans submitted yesterday to the City of Los Angeles.

The application, filed by an entity called Telluride Holdings, LLC, calls for the construction of 85 apartments - including 12 affordable units - at the southwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Hoover Street.  The project site is currently occupied by a three-story office building which dates to the 1960s and a 12-unit apartment complex completed in 2010.

Adrian Jayasinha, listed as the manager of San Marino-based Telluride Holdings, serves as a vice president of the Walter J. Co., which owns several properties in the Westlake area.  Among the company's projects is the Lake on Wilshire, a proposed development that would create a 41-story apartment tower at 1930 Wilshire Boulevard.

Additional details regarding the project at Wilshire and Hoover are not stated in its case filing with the Department of City Planning.

The development site is located a short distance west of 1515 Wilshire Boulevard, where a $60-million apartment complex featuring ground-floor retail was completed in 2016.
