The Los Angeles City Council has voted to authorize the Department of Housing and Community Investment to enter into an exclusive negotiating agreement with Clifford Beers Housing for the development of an affordable housing project in Harvard Heights.
The proposed development, slated for a City-owned property at 1808 S. St. Andrews Place, would consist of a multi-story building featuring 20 units of affordable and permanent supportive housing. Additional details regarding the project are currently unclear.
According to a staff report, HCID anticipates that it will report back to the Mayor and City Council in February 2021 with regards to a term sheet and a request for authority to execute the development agreement with Clifford Beers Housing.
The proposed development is one of a handful of affordable and supportive housing developments planned in Los Angeles County by Clifford Beers Housing.
The project site is located a few blocks south of a mixed-use affordable housing development now rising at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Gramercy Place.
