Construction has topped out at California Landmark Group's $30-million D1 development, which is targeting completion later this year.

The five-story building, located at 4210 Del Rey Avenue, will feature 68 live/work apartments in a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans.

PK Architecture is designing the project, which will incorporate open-space amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor decks, and a rooftop pool.

The D1 project is one of six Del Rey apartment buildings in California Landmark Group's portfolio, which also includes the $100-million G8 complex that is now rising to the north at 4040 Del Rey Avenue.

The Laguna Niguel Planning Commission has approved a mixed-use development near the city's Metrolink Station.  The joint venture between Blackwood Real Estate and Walbern, located near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road, will consist of 100 two- and three-bedroom apartments in a seven-story building.  Plans also call for 2,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a pool courtyard, a fitness center, a private garden, and a sky deck.
