A late 1930s fourplex in North Hollywood could make way for apartments, according to plans submitted recently to the City of Los Angeles.

The project site, located just east of Lankershim Boulevard at 10912 W. Blix Street, is slated for the construction of a five-story, 18-unit apartment building.  Plans call for a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments - including three deed-restricted affordable units - with subterranean parking for 16 vehicles.

Bittoni Architects is designing the proposed development, which would consist of wood-frame construction above a concrete podium.  Architectural plans show an exterior of smooth finish black and white plaster, with open space provided at the fifth floor.

City records list the project applicant as Blix Equities, LLC, an entity managed by Garen Boyajian.
