Vertical construction is proceeding for Talaria, a mixed-use development in Burbank Media District.

Located on a 3.86-acre site at 3401 W. Olive Avenue, the five-story building will feature 241 residential units atop a 43,000-square-foot ground-floor Whole Foods Market.  Plans also call for a 760-car parking garage, as well as amenities uch as a swimming pool, a common area great lawn and a gym.

VTBS Architects is designing the podium-type complex, which is portrayed in renderings as a contemporary low-rise structure.

The project, which comes from the Cusumano Group, is scheduled to open in 2018.

LA Phil Unveils Frank Gehry Design for New YOLA Center in Inglewood

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2019.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Philharmonic unveiled architectural designs by Gehry Partners for the new Judity and Thomas L. Beckmen YOLA Center @ Inglewood, the future permanent home of the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA). The $14.5-million project will transform a former branch of Security Pacific Bank at 101 S. La Brea Avenue into a light-filled, flexible facility capable of hosting rehearsals, classes, and performances.  It will serve up to 500 students each year from Inglewood and surrounding communities.
