A single-family residence in Silver Lake could be set for redevelopment with a multifamily residential complex.

The project, filed last week with the City of Los Angeles, calls for replacing the construction of a 33-unit apartment building with four very-low-income units at 1032 N. Coronado Street.

The proposed development was filed through the city's Transit Oriented Communities program, which allows for increased density and relief from certain zoning provisions in exchange for subsidized affordable housing.  The proposed Coronado Street development, which would rise immediately south of Sunset Boulevard, has requested an increase in allowable height to 56 feet and a reduction in required side- and rear-yards.

Additional details about the project are currently unclear.
