A mixed-use development by California Landmark Group has topped out on Sawtelle Boulevard.

The project, located at the intersection of Sawtelle and La Grange Avenue, consists of a four-story structure that will contain 88 rental apartments - including eight reserved for extremely-low-income households - atop 7,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 120 parking spaces on two basement levels.

CLG initially filed its development application for the project at 1947 Sawtelle in 2013, when it was proposed with just 73 apartments.  The adoption of the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines in 2017 allowed the developer to reapply to increase the total unit count.

Rios Clementi Hale Studios designed the low-rise structure, which is depicted in renderings with a contemporary design that pares down in height as it approaches an abutting residential neighborhood.

CLG's other ongoing projects include a $100-million mixed-use apartment complex in the Del Rey community.
