Construction has topped out for Cobalt, Greystar Real Estate Partners' latest mixed-use development in the Palms - Culver City area.

The seven-story building, located at 10601 Washington Boulevard, will consist of 135 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, 14,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, amenities and 294 parking spaces in an underground garage.  Greystar will set aside 11 units as affordable housing, as part of density bonus incentives for the project.

VTBS Architects designed the contemporary mid-rise structure, which is expected to open in 2018.

A similar project from Bastion Development is planned just up the street at Washington and Motor Avenue.
