Nearly one year into construction, a multifamily residential development from Aragon Properties is making progress in Echo Park. 

Concrete and rebar now protrude above a dirt pit at 1750 N. Glendale Boulevard, where the Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm is building a five-story, 70-unit apartment complex featuring 62 standard flats, eight street-fronting live/work units, and eight units of dedicated affordable housing. 

Designed by Urban Architecture Lab, the contemporary low-rise structure would wrap around a central courtyard, with plans also calling for a rooftop amenity deck.

A timeline for the project's completion has not been announced.

Another project associated with Aragon Properties - a 200-unit development with retail - is planned at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Beaudry Avenue.
