Tomorrow, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission will consider a proposal from developer Randi Bach to construct condominiums on an L-shaped property in North Hills

The project site, located at the corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Plummer Street, is slated for the construction of 15 buildings that would feature 75 townhome-style residences featuring private yards and two-car parking garages.  Plans call for a mix of two- and three-bedroom units ranging between 1,190 and 1,390 square feet in size.

William Hezmalhalch Architects is designing the proposed development, which would consist of a 15 two- and three-story structures containing three-to-six units each.

A staff report by the Planning Department recommends that Planning Commission approve requested entitlements, including a general plan amendment and a zone change.

The applicant originally considered building the project as a larger 90-unit condominium complex in 2015, and later as a 54-unit apartment building with 21 standalone condominiums.  However, the earlier iteration of the development failed to receive the blessing of the Los Angeles City Council.

Mixed-Use Development Planned Near Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station

The Laguna Niguel Planning Commission has approved a mixed-use development near the city's Metrolink Station.  The joint venture between Blackwood Real Estate and Walbern, located near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road, will consist of 100 two- and three-bedroom apartments in a seven-story building.  Plans also call for 2,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a pool courtyard, a fitness center, a private garden, and a sky deck.
