Developer Evolution Strategic Partners has started construction on a multifamily residential complex in Warner Center, a short distance from the Orange Line busway.

The project, now rising at 6606 N. Variel Avenue, will consist of a seven-story edifice featuring 271 apartments - including four live/work units - and a parking garage.

Urban Architecture Lab is designing the development, which includes several courtyards, roof decks and other interior amenities.  Publicly accessible open space, designed by Superjacent, will front the building.

Completion of the Variel Apartments is expected in Fall 2019.
