Rios Clementi Hale Studios and Community Art Resources are convening a design workshop for South Grand Park, a new public space planned in the South Park neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles.

The roughly half-acre green space, scheduled to open in mid-2019, will be built on a current parking lot located on Grand Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets.

The meeting, scheduled for Monday, October 2 from 5 to 7 pm at the WREN Apartments (1230 S. Olive Street) will solicit community feedback to shape the future of the new public space.

Additional meetings are planned in October and November.

South Grand Park will be located at the foot of a 38-story mixed-use tower, which is currently being built by the developer Mack Urban and AECOM Capital.
