Revised plans have emerged for a hotel development in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood.

In 2016, property owner Dan Harkham filed an application with the Planning Department to raze a series of two-story commercial buildings at 1434-1450 S. Robertson Boulevard to make way for a six-story edifice featuring 122 hotel rooms and basement parking.  Revised plans, submitted yesterday to the City, now incorporate an additional property at 1434-1456 S. Robertson Boulevard, and call for the construction of a slightly larger 136-room hotel.

The applicant has requested several discretionary entitlements for the project, including a vesting zone change.  The proposed development will be subject to consideration by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.

Harkham's proposed hotel would rise a block east of a 48-unit senior affordable housing complex now being built by Mercy Housing of California.

Other developments now in the works for Pico-Robertson include a housing and retail complex slated to replace a car wash at Pico and Beverly Boulevards.
