The project, located at 6711 S. Sepulveda Boulevard, will consist of an eight-story edifice containing 180 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments - including 15 very low-income affordable units - atop a 210 car parking garage.

TCA Architects is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will be clad with a combination of plaster, wood paneling, and tile veneer.

Completion is anticipated in 2021.

Immediately south of the Hanover Sepulveda site, a modest two-story office building at 6733 S. Sepulveda Boulevard is now being demolished.

The project site, owned by local real estate investment firm Sandstone Properties, is approved for the construction of a five-story, 176-unit apartment building designed by Johnson Fain.

Both projects sit across Sepulveda Boulevard from a multi-building office complex which with EQ Office has refurbished and rebranded as the "Playa District."

Other developers - including Equity Residential and Mill Creek Residential Trust - have also built large multifamily residential complexes nearby.
