At its meeting next week, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission will review local developer Relevant Group's fourth planned hotel in Hollywood.

The latest project, slated for an L-shaped property at the northeast corner of Selma and Wilcox Avenues, would consist of an eight-story building featuring 114 guest rooms atop approximately 22,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a three-level, 52-car basement parking garage.

Slightly over 20,000 square feet of the proposed ground-level retail uses are being built through a separate project, in which Relevant Group is constructing the underground parking structure below a one-story structure.  The hotel currently up for consideration by the Planning Commission would be built above the commercial building at a later date if approved.

KFA Architecture is designing the hotel which would feature a brick exterior, and be capped with a rooftop pool and amenity deck.

Relevant Group, which is based out of Los Angeles, is planning the hotel at Selma and Wilcox in the wake of its completion of the Dream Hollywood, a 178-room hotel located next-door to the proposed development site.  The company is also in the midst of construction of a Thompson Hotel and a Tommie Hotel nearby, and recently filed plans to construct a two-building development surrounding the Morrison Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
