Construction is underway for a small mixed-use development in Frogtown, as seen in images provided by photographer Michael Hayes.

The Elysian Valley Riverfront Campus, now rising on the 2900 block of Allesandro Street, is repurposing two existing buildings and redeveloping a formerly vacant lot with a three-story structure featuring 40 live/work dwellings around a landscaped central courtyard.  The project also includes 8,000 square feet of groud-floor commercial space, as well as 8 units of low-income housing.

Santa Monica-based architecture firm KFA is designing the low-rise campus, which will feature a direct connection to the L.A. River.

A completion date is unclear.
