Erewhon Market has announced plans to open a new store in Santa Monica, its fourth location in California.

Slated for a one-story building at 2800 Wilshire Boulevard, at the southeast corner of its intersection with Harvard Street, Erewhon will be located in a single-story building, 10,500-square-foot space.  Modifications to the single-tenant structure, which was built in 1993, include new pedestrian seating and dining areas and an outdoor terrace.

The market, scheduled to open in early 2018, is being designed by a team that includes executive architect Retail Design Collaborative and design architect Montalba Architects.  Abbott Construction and Slated Projects are also partnering on the development.

The blog DTLA Rising recently reported on plans to open another Erewhon Store at 9th and Hill Streets in Downtown Los Angeles.  However, building owner Markwood Enterprises has not verified this claim at this point in time.
