Taiwanese airline EVA Air Corporation has started construction on a new campus in El Segundo that will serve as the company's North American headquarters.

The project, which is now rising from a long-vacant site at the corner of Nash Street and Campus Drive, will feature two five-story office buildings - totaling 150,000 square feet of occupiable space - accompanied by a standalone five-story parking structure.  EVA will use 40,000 square feet of the new development for its U.S. main office - doubling its current 20,000-square-foot space in Pacific Corporate Towers - and lease out the remaining 110,000 square feet of the property to other businesses.

KMD Architects is designing the project, which is portrayed with landscaped paseos and courtyards, as well as outdoor decks and balconies.

Completion of the EVA campus is anticipated in mid-2019.

The project site is located across the street from the 210,000-square-foot Elevon office campus - which opened in 2014 - and on the same block as a 180-room AC Hotel that is expected to open its doors early next year.
