Architectural plans posted by the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council have unveiled renderings for a proposed mixed-use development at the intersection of 14th Street and Pacific Avenue.

The project, a joint venture between Root Real Estate and Ketter Construction, calls for razing a collection of single-story structures at 1309-1331 S. Pacific Avenue to make way for a four-story apartment complex.  The completed project would feature 102 studio, one, and two-bedroom dwellings - including 12 to be priced for very low-income households - and a two-level, 127-car parking garage.

The low-rise structure, designed by architects from Ketter, is depicted as a contemporary low-rise structure clad primarily in painted stucco.  Floor plans show multiple common amenities for residents, including rooftop decks, a central courtyard, a gym, and a recreation room.

Root Real Estate and Ketter are also partnering on a similar development featuring multifamily housing and ground-floor retail at 2111 S. Pacific Avenue.
