A draft environmental impact report published by the Los Angeles Department of City Planning has revealed AMCAL Multi Housing Company's proposal for a new apartment complex on the site of the Woodland Hills Post Office.

The proposed Clarendon Street Apartments, slated for a 4.2-acre site at 22055-22147 Clarendon Street, would consist of a five-story building features 335 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, in addition to enclosed parking accommodations for 564 vehicles and 369 vicycles.  Plans also call for a variety of open space amenities, including three courtyards, a fitness center, a dog park and a club room.

The podium-style development, designed by Architects Orange, would be clad with a variety of exterior materials, including plaster, perforated metal, stone veneer and stucco.

The project would also incorporate a number of green building features such as energy star appliances and fixtures, a a rooftop trellis system and permeable pavers for rainwater harvesting.

Construction would occur over approximately 18 months in a single phase.  A groundbreaknig date is currently unknown.
